Hospital Mobile Applications

The Hospital Mobile Application has been built on the Trignon Mobility Platform. It caters to the needs of care providers such as physicians, surgeons, nurses and therapists. The application enables these care providers to stay connected to an enterprise Hospital Information System regardless of where they are physically located at any given point in time.

Given the sensitivity of medical information, the application has been designed to be fully compliant with health information privacy guidelines such as HIPAA. Besides ensuring the privacy of Personal Health Information (PHI), the application supports a full audit of information access. The mobile application is designed to complement the capabilities of a physician / care giver portal as it takes in to account the limited screen size of most mobile devices.

The following functions are available out-of-the-box within the Trignon Hospital Mobile Application:

• Notification/alerts to various critical events registered within the HIS
• Access to summary and detailed patient medical information. Enables:
  • Access to lab results
  • Access to medication list
  • Access to encounter information
  • Ability to trend vitals data
  • Ability to capture image and voice and attach to medical record
  • Access to discharge summary report
• Ability to view appointment schedule
• Order management
  • Ability to order tests and procedures
  • Ability to place a requisition for hospital resources

Further functionality to support a particular HIS can be added very quickly using the Application Framework component of Trignon’s Mobility Platform.
